Dr Alessia Grones, MD (med. univ.) completed her medical studies at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck, earning her doctorate in 2003. She gained early clinical experience in the surgical departments of hospitals in Meran, Schlanders and Bruneck. After passing her specialist examination in Salzburg in 2015, Dr Grones was board certified as a specialist in general surgery. From 2016, she worked as a specialist in the Department of General Surgery at Bruneck Hospital, where she mainly focused on phlebology (diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins) and proctology (treatment of rectum diseases).
Dr Grones joined the surgical department at Brixsana in 2025. In the course of her career, Dr Grones has attended numerous courses and conferences in the fields of phlebology and proctology. She regularly trains at the Tessari Studi Phlebolymphology Academy in Peschiera del Garda.
