How can I get to Brixsana?
By car:
Brixsana is easily accessible from all over South Tyrol via the Brenner motorway or the Brenner state road.
From the Brenner motorway: Take the Klausen-Gröden exit and follow State Road 12 to Brixsana at Julius-Durst-Straße 28.
Parking is available at the main entrance. Patients may use Brixsana’s private parking lot free of charge.
By public transport:
Brixsana is easily accessible by bus or train. Bus lines 170, 328 and 340 stop right in front of our building.
What are Brixsana’s opening hours?
Our clinic is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
When can I visit Brixsana for a blood test?
Brixsana offers blood tests Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., no appointment needed. For added convenience, tests can also be scheduled on Fridays upon request.
Reimbursements
Which services and visits are eligible for reimbursement?
You can find a full list of reimbursable services on the following website: https://civis.bz.it/de/dienste/dienst.html?id=1043545. In general, the €50 reimbursement applies to non-urgent appointments when the waiting time at a South Tyrolean medical centre exceeds 60 days.
How do I apply for reimbursement?
Come to our clinic on the day of the visit with your doctor’s referal. After your visit, we’ll provide you with an invoice, which you can pay at our front desk. This invoice will include details of your appointment and the doctor who treated you. You can submit this invoice to your local “Gesundheitssprengel” (health district office) to apply for a €50 reimbursement. The payment is usually processed within approximately 3 months.

Are Brixsana’s services covered by the South Tyrolean Health Service?
Yes, Brixsana has an agreement with the South Tyrolean Health Service to provide treatment/diagnostics in the following areas:
- Radiological diagnostics
- Ophthalmology
- Orthopaedics
- Doppler echography of the supra-aortic vessels
These services must be booked in advance through the central appointment system of the South Tyrolean Health Service.
Will my private health insurance cover Brixsana’s services?
Brixsana has agreements with leading private insurance providers. Our front office team is happy to assist you with information on covered services and benefits.
