Dr Alexandra Ulrike Maria Obermair completed her medical studies at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck, where she earned her doctorate in 2004. From 2005 to 2012, she worked as a junior doctor in orthopaedics and traumatology at Meran Hospital. From 2008, she was also part of the hand surgery team led by Dr F. Nienstedt.
In 2018, Dr Obermair joined Bruneck Hospital, initially working in the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine. From 2021 to 2025, following specialist training, she served as a senior physician in orthopaedics and traumatology, once again contributing actively to the hand surgery team – this time under the leadership of Dr S. Huber. Since 2025, she has been working as a freelance specialist at Brixsana. She is a member of the advisory board of the German Working Group for Hand Surgery (DAH) and regularly attends relevant professional training and continuing education events.
