Dr Georg Weifner, MD

Dr Georg Weifner earned his degree in general medicine from Vienna in 1987. He began his career at the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery in Brixen, advancing from junior doctor to senior physician. From 1990 to 1995, he completed his specialist training at the University Hospital of Verona.
Dr Weifner served as Deputy Head Physician and later Interim Chief Physician at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Brixen. During this time, he also led the reference centre for complex endoprosthetics in South Tyrol. In 2016, Dr Weifner, together with Dr Helmuth Volgger, founded the Ortho-Team Brixen joint practice, headquartered at Brixsana with branches in Trento (Villa Bianca) and Cortina (Codivilla-Putti).
