Dr Gilbert Mühlmann completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Innsbruck and subsequently worked at the University Clinic for Visceral, Transplantation and Thoracic Surgery for 15 years. There, he underwent comprehensive training across all areas of general surgery, specialising in minimally invasive surgical techniques (keyhole surgery). Dr Mühlmann was Head of the Minimally Invasive Training Centre at the Medical University of Innsbruck, where he was responsible for organising national and international surgical training courses.
