Dr Helmuth Volgger, MD

Dr Helmuth Volgger studied medicine at Innsbruck University Hospital from 1989 to 1995 and earned a certification in foot surgery from the German Association for Foot and Ankle (DAF). His early career included a role as a junior doctor in surgery and trauma surgery at Sterzing Hospital, which included a three-month placement in the Transplant Department at Innsbruck University Hospital.
From 2000 to 2006, Dr Volgger worked in the Department of Orthopaedics, Trauma Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery at the Munich-Harlaching teaching hospital. He later returned to Sterzing Hospital, where he served as Head of Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics, introducing new techniques in minimally invasive hip endoprosthetics and bunion surgery. Dr Volgger has been practising at Brixsana since 2016.
