Dr Iwan Di Gallo, MD

Dr Iwan Di Gallo graduated with a doctorate in general medicine from the University of Innsbruck in 1999. From 2000 to 2007, he worked as a junior doctor in the hospitals of Bruneck, Brixen and Zams and at Innsbruck University Hospital – first in clinical pathology and then in orthopaedics. Dr Di Gallo was Head of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at Brixen Hospital until 2016, after which he, Dr Georg Weifner and Dr Helmuth Volgger founded the Ortho-Team Brixen joint practice, headquartered at Brixsana with branches in Trento and Cortina. Following an observational visit in Varberg, Sweden, he introduced specialised LIA intraoperative pain therapy in knee arthroplasty in South Tyrol in 2009. In 2014, he joined the ONLUS Association of South Tyrolean Doctors for the World.
