Dr Werner Rauhe, MD

Dr Werner Rauhe graduated summa cum laude from the University of Milan in 1980, earning his medical degree with the highest honours. He specialised in cardiology in 1982 and subsequently completed numerous advanced training programmes in Italy and Germany. From 1986 to 1997, Dr Rauhe worked at Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan, beginning as a junior doctor and advancing to Head of the Arrhythmology, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Stimulation Service. In 1997, he moved to Bolzano Hospital, where from 2004 onwards he led the Cardiological Intensive Care Unit as well as the Clinical and Interventional Arrhythmology, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Stimulation Service. Since 2022, Dr Rauhe has contributed his expertise to Brixsana. Under his leadership, thirteen international and four national research projects have been successfully completed.
